Guilt

Why do I feel guilty for everything? Is it because I'm a woman? Because I'm to sensitive? Because I need to get over it? I lay in bed rethinking conversations I've had, things I've done, things I've not done...& I feel guilty for all of it!
I punished a dog for peeing on the floor & feel that a friend looks down on me for it. I relaxed with my husband today & didn't get as much after Christmas cleaning done as I had intended & now I feel like a bad person. Oh my gosh, for once I wish I could go to bed & not rehash everything! But at the same time I do not want to do things with no thought as to how it affects others. So I guess my guilt, kept in check is a good thing.

Thrifty Scrapbooking

Scrapbooking is an amazing way to spend free time, but it does not have to break the bank. Here are a couple of my favorite ways to save money & still participate in my favorite hobby:
1) Don't pay full price- check out the sales, dollar bins & most importantly the clearance racks.
2) Save your cereal boxes, cracker boxes, whatever you buy that comes in a cardboard box. You can cut them to size for tags, mini album pages, whatever your heart desires. Then you can cover them in your favorite paper & you just got free chipboard.
3) Buy silk flowers at your local dollar store, cut all the stems off, & you can layer them to make your own beautiful flowers.
4) Save your toilet paper rolls. You can flatten them, cover them in paper & make a super mini album. Then you have a pocket in the middle of each paper roll to put tags or pictures.
I hope my tips will help you make even better scrapbooks. Enjoy your scrapping!

Christmas Music

I would like to know who decided that Christmas music is supposed to sound so old & boring. I've never liked Christmas music. I love Christmas, I love Christmas decorations & anything else associated with Christmas, but the music bores me to tears. I do realize that each genre of music has songs that people have redone, & there is even the occasional completely new song of which there are a few that I don't mind. However, for the most part, Christmas music all sounds the same to me, & this time of year all the radio stations are playing it. I would like to make a request to the song writers out there, please write more modern, likable Christmas music, and maybe we can phase out the carols that sound so old.
I realize that at this point you are thinking, "What a Scrooge" but I assure you I'm really not, I really do love Christmas, I would just also love to enjoy what I'm listening to this wonderful time of the year. Thank you for allowing me to rant. Have a Merry Christmas.
