Last Night's Dinner

Well we are not officially on the diet yet, but last night we at least had healthy food instead of junk :) I bought one of the new Stouffer's Farmers Harvest Veggie Lasagnas on sale with a coupon (the only real way to buy something lol) & decided to make it for dinner. Along side it I served sauted squash, zucchini, & onions all fresh from the Farmer's Market, my fave place to buy produce :)
It was delish! I will def be looking for these lasagnas on sale again!
I'm hoping to make it to the grocery store tomorrow, so by Monday we should officially be on our diet :)

Dieting

How can I have so little motivation? My husband & I started the South Beach Diet about 6 months ago or longer, we were on it steady for about 2 months, we were losing weight, getting healthier, & enjoying it. Then his grandma got sick & we started going out of town several times in one month (& I don't diet when out of town, blame the lack of motivation we discussed earlier) & now we aren't eating healthy at all & can't find the motivation to start again.
I only blame myself & my love of unhealthy food, but & really gotta start eating healthier! I'm only 26 & I never have any energy cuz all I eat is junk food :( Which is really ridiculous cuz I love veggies! But I also love all things fried :)
So heres what I'm going to do; I am going to restart our diet soon (Why not now? Cuz I have to go grocery shopping first so we have healthy food to eat) & I will blog about our progress, what yummy recipes we are trying, & I will include pics before & after :)
So I would like to thank you now for your support in our endeavors to be healthier people :)

Patrick's Day!

Well today was the day, Patrick's birthday :) I know you've been waiting to hear what I had planned for him... I took him to a gun range to get some practice in so he can get his permit when he feels ready :) He was very happy.

Hubby's Bday gift

I don't know how many others have this problem, but everytime I need a gift for my wonderful husband I have absolutely no idea what to get him :( He is the most complicated person to shop for!
Therefore, when I came up w/ the idea for his birthday gift this year- before his actual birthday-I was pretty stoked!
His birthday is Thursday, St. Patrick's Day...go ahead, guess what his name is...that's right! It's Patrick :)
So Friday I will tell you what I'm getting him...I don't want him to stumble across my blog & ruin it!
So wish me luck! Hopefully hes as excited about his gift as I am to have thought of it :)

Driving Baby

I drove Conner to Athens, TX today to meet his grandparents so they could take him for the weekend. On our trip he discovered the wonders of shadow puppets. I saw him moving his hands around & I realized he was watching the shadows & moving his fingers to make different shadows. It was super cute! It's amazing watching a child learn from the world around him :)
He was very excited to see his grandparents, & to get out of the car- an hour and a half in a carseat is an eternity for a 17 month old!
Well I need to clean house, so til next time... :)

Elias is 1 month old

It's hard to believe it, but Elias who was born 1 lb 12 oz 14.5 weeks premature, is now a month old, 2 lbs 8 oz & growing stronger everyday! His mom & dad have finally been allowed to hold him this last week, he is no longer on a ventilator, but just has the Cipap on, and they have taken out all his IVs!

So the Cipap is blocking his face, but its better than having a breathing tube do all the work :)
Some people from our church have given him some very cute premie clothes & I was helping wash them & couldn't get over how little they are! And yet they are still to big for him! Hes such a tiny guy :)

Treasury

I bought into my 1st treasury last night! It was very exciting! I will be in it again today until someone buys me out. It wil open at 5 PST which is 7 my time. You should stop by and check it out, there were some great items featured & great conversation!

Cutest Kid

Just in case anyone was wondering, Conner Makoa is absolutely, without a doubt, the cutest kid ever! I know some of you are thinking that this title should belong to the child in your life, but trust me on this, I have proof, my little Makoa wins this one :)

Today he had been playing while I was checking my email & he walked over to me making kissing noises :) Already cute right?! So I was talking to him & tickling him & he kept making the kissing noises. So I bent over & gave him a kiss, & then he went off to continue playing. So cute! He wanted a kiss :) I love this kid!
