I am Pregnant!

I am 14 weeks along (15 tomorrow)! We heard the heartbeat at 11 weeks, and got to hear it again yesterday!

 We will find out if our Baby is a boy or a girl the day he or she is born :) So I thought it would be fun to test some old wives tales & keep a tally to see if they guess correct or not! Today I have 2 to test out:

According to the Chinese Gender Predictor on my pregnancy app - Baby is a Boy

According to the heartbeat - above 140bpm (heartbeat was in the 160s) Baby is a Girl

So far we are tied! I will have more "tests" to check out in the near future! Before we know it, we will know for sure! :)

So is there anyone else out there who waited until birth to know the gender of your baby? Or do you think I'm crazy like Hubby does? ;)

Always Loved

On November 18th, our second Baby joined our first in Heaven. Baby was 8 weeks along, but we only found out we were pregnant the evening before.

Last night I got "Always" tattooed on my arm. Both of our Babies will Always be our Babies, they will Always be Loved! Most importantly, one day we will meet them when we reach our Target!

"Someday I will go to him, but he cannot come back to me." - 2 Samuel 12:23b

Bible Journaling

I recently started a journaling Bible. The best description I have heard for Bible journaling is we are creatively representing scripture :) So I wanted to share it with my creative readers who may see this as a creative outlet to worship!

The first page I journaled was for our Baby. Hubby traced my tattoo onto freezer paper, and then I  traced it onto the page.

I decided to get a Bible specifically for journaling with wide margins, but I have seen plenty of people use their every day Bible. It's completely up to you how you want to express your creativity to God.

I wanted to show you what supplies I used, from top to bottom:

Tombow calligraphy pen (made in Japan, ordered from Amazon) left a little shadowing on the back but no bleed through

Sakura Pigma Micron 03 almost no shadowing and no bleed through

Sharpie ultra fine tip completely bled through

A la Mode by Hampton Art Black ink pad no shadow & no bleed through.

This is my permissions page. Basically a reminder that this Bible is for worship and if it gets messy that is ok!

Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

I chose these 3 words to put on the sides of my Bible based on Romans 15:4.

My Papa went to Heaven on April 1st. His favorite passage was Psalms 91. The last verse of Psalms 91 says, "With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation." That is a very fitting verse for my Papa! He was a Pentecostal preacher, and raised multiple generations in church! He also loved to garden, at the bottom I put his 2 favorites onions and tomatoes :) He also raised chickens, and loved to tell corny jokes! I may add one of his jokes to the page ;)

This has not been an easy year, but God is holding us through it! I am very glad to have been introduced to Bible journaling! It has been a very unique way to express my love, worship, and even grief.

Our Arrow

Two weeks ago Hubby & I found out that our Baby is in Heaven. Focusing on Psalm 127, our Baby was a gift, and was our Arrow :) All Arrows' goals are to hit their target. It has been a great comfort to know that our Arrow has already hit the mark!

We decided to get memorial tattoos to always have with us for our Baby. Mine is on my forearm, and I love it! It came out so much better than I was imagining!

Hubby's is on his calf, and is much bigger than mine, contrary to how these 2 pictures make them seem. I love how his turned out as well!

We will always have the memory of our Baby, and cannot wait to hold him or her one day!

My Baby

Our Baby is in Heaven.

Psalm 127:3-5a Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them...

We were able to share some very special memories with our Baby during it's short life. I am truly grateful for the amount of time we had with our Arrow.

We found out we were pregnant on my 31st birthday! Baby & I ate Pho & went shopping at Hong Kong Market with my Sister's & the kids to celebrate!

The next day we told everyone about Baby at my birthday party! We have a very loved child :)

Daddy & Oma took us to a TobyMac concert! We had a such a great time!

We walked a 5k with Nanny, Aunt Jamie, Uncle Craig, & Daddy. Anything for chocolate right?!

We met Santa! He was very happy to hear about Baby's first Christmas!

Mommy & Daddy took Baby to see 2 movies! The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2, and Star Wars Force Awakens (I think Baby liked Mockingjay more, but don't tell Daddy)

and Baby's Christmas gifts from both of us. We had a wonderful celebration of Jesus' Birthday with our Baby!

11 weeks, we had 11 wonderful weeks to spend with our Baby! We love you! Mommy & Daddy can't wait to see you and hold you!

Best Birthday!

 Ghost has an announcement :)

 Thursday was my 31st birthday & I had the greatest gift! That morning I found out I was pregnant! So I bought this shirt & surprised everyone at my birthday celebration :) Everyone has been so excited! We truly appreciate all the well wishes and prayers!
With all the baby excitement I forgot to take pictures of the actual party, but he had a Blue Bell Ice Cream social :) Had to celebrate Blue Bell coming back to TX!!

 Then Hubby & his mom took me to a TobyMac concert!! I love him!!

 Dallas loves him!!

 Then we went to a 5k on Sunday. I gave all my chocolate away ;)

It was quite the festive weekend! Monday marked 5 weeks for the bundle of joy growing inside me! I am so excited and nervous all together! Fourtunately, most of my friends have had kids & don't mind my weird freakout texts & questions :)

We are going to have a BABY!!!!!
