What A Character!

We got home from Disney World yesterday afternoon, and have done alot of resting today :) I wanted to show you all the characters we met while at Disney!

 Yes, we were there for Star Wars weekend

Hogsmeade!!!

I want to live in Hogsmeade!!! Today we took a short break from Disney to visit Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The main reason for this was to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It was amazing!!! I told Hubby I want to live there, in Hogsmeade! I didn't want to leave! Imagine walking right into the pages of one of your favorite books, that's exactly what The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is! Universal has created an entire city, and it's amazing! We rode Harry Potters Forbidden Journey, Dragons Challenge, & even Flight of the Hippogriff (more for kids, but I had to ride everything!). We visited Olivanders wand shop, Zonkos, and Honeydukes (where Hubby bought me a chocolate frog!). And we had dinner in Three Broomsticks. We also had Butterbeer and pumpkin juice, both very yummy! It was so much more than I was hoping for!

Hubby's Dream Came True

Day 2 in Disney world & already Hubby's dream has come true! We walked into Innovations which has lots of high tech gadgetry, and found Sum of all Thrills. It is a simulator where you can design & then ride your own roller coaster. Ever since Hubby started played Roller Coaster Tycoon in high school, he has talked about wanting to ride one of his roller coaster creations. Now granted Sum of all Thrills is a much simplified version giving you only 4 minutes to design your ride, but he still enjoyed it. The first time we rode it we were unaware of the short time limit & had our coaster designed for us once time was up. Then we went again & he did a much better job of sticking it all together in 4 minutes. Our second ride was alot of fun, and I'm sure we will be riding it again before our trip is up. So thank you Disney for bringing one of Hubby's dreams to life! :)

Going to Disney World!

Sunday morning I will be on a plane with Hubby, my brother & sister, and one of my sets of adopted parents :) we will be headed to Orlando!!! I am so excited! We will be staying at a Disney resort thanks to adopted parents time share, and will spend everyday at a different Disney park. We are also going to spend one day at Hogwarts in Universal Studios :)
This will be Hubby's, sister's, and my first time at Disney World! I downloaded a countdown app about a year ago to keep track of how long until this trip, when I downloaded it, it seemed like an eternity away! Now less than 2 days!!!
I promise to share more pics than you ever wanted to see when we get back :)

The House Has Been Appraised!

The appraisal has FINALLY happened! And the appraiser said nothing negative about our house! :) He said it is worth what we are paying, he obviously saw it as the great home that we saw it as :) We are still waiting for the lender's underwriter to look over the appraisal, but since he said nothing negative we aren't worried about it.
So that means I can officially be excited about my new house!!!!! We are going to own our own home! We are  going to be home owners! Hubby & I will have our own place and it will belong to us! :)
So you wanna know about our house? It was built in 1978, it has 4 bedrooms, it has a nice sized kitchen which opens up to the living room this was very important for entertaining :) It has 2 bathrooms, a 2 car garage... it is the perfect home! :)
So you wanna see it?! I thought so :) Somehow we forgot to take a picture of the front so I will have to show you that another day.

 This is the only tree on the property, and we will have to cut it down since it is growing so ridiculously close to the house. We are going to plant more in both the front & back yards :)

These 2 pics are the formal dining which is attached to the formal living. Both of these rooms will be our library!!! I am so excited to have room to dedicate to all our books!

 That first set of doors is the pantry and the second set is the laundry room. I am so excited to have a laundry room! Hubby & I were given a washer & dryer shortly before we got married, but we have never lived anywhere where we could use it. Now after almost 5 years of marriage we will finally be able to use our washer (the dryer is gas & the hook up is electric, so we will need a new dryer lol) Thank you Mommy in law for storing our washer & dryer in your garage all these years!

 Master Bedroom, not pictured are the TWO walk in closets! Which Hubby affectionately calls the Her's & Her's closets :) Hes so sweet!

 Master Bathroom, the shower wall needs to be replaced & retiled, but Hubby is up to the job :)

I know what you are thinking: That's the greatest house ever! Right?! :) I'm very happy! I know we have lots of paperwork, and lots of sweat & elbow grease in our future, but it is so worth it :) I will keep you posted on our progress :)

I Met Marion Smith!!!

This afternoon my sister texted me & told me that The Marion Smith, the Scrapbooking genius Marion Smith was going to be at my local scrapbook store! So of course I had to go meet her!
I walked into the Crafty Scrapper and there she was picking out scrapbook paper. I debated in my mind to just start shopping or to go introduce myself... I am not very good at talking to people I have never met :) but I decided I came to meet her, so I needed to go meet her. I approached her & said "it's like walking up to a movie star" which thankfully got a laugh out of her :) we talked for a little while, she picked out some amazing Scrapbooking supplies, I picked out some stuff for my Disney scrapbook! It was so nice meeting her! She is so very sweet! Every bit as nice as she seems in her tutorial videos :)
Thank you Marion for the nice chat & for not making me feel like the stalker that Hubby claims I am ;) have a great rest of your stay in the great state of Texas!
